SideChestってどんなバンド？
SideChestのプロフィール
2016年に名古屋で結成されたロックバンド。
2017年1月にサポートで叩いていた小林章人(Dr)が正式加入。夏には「Birthday」と「Standing」2曲入りの1st DEMOを発売。
結成して間もないときから東海を中心とした早耳リスナーの間で騒がれ始め、2018年の2nd DEMO 「Embers」Release Tour FINAL@栄Party’zでLUCCIの長崎慎(Dr)が代表を務めるレーベル「BUNS RECORDS」への所属を発表。
同時に3ヶ月サポートギターを務めていた戸田与久(ex.bit and pieces)が正式加入。4人編成になります。

そして2018年11月、自身初の全国流通音源となる「Green/再三再四」を発売。
情熱的な日本詞をエモーショナルなハイトーンヴォイスで歌いきる、若手シーンの超新星メロディックバンドです。
SideChestの音楽
初期は英詞の曲(Embers収録のGiantなど)もありましたが、基本的に日本詞で歌うSideChest。
そして何より彼らの武器はエモーショナルなメロディに乗るハイトーンヴォイス。
ハイトーンヴォイスを売りにするバンドは結構いますが、ライブではなかなか音源通りに出せてないバンドもいます。
しかしSideChestはライブでもしっかり出てるな～って印象があります。
せっかくハイトーンを売りにしても、ライブで出なかったら意味ないですもんね…。
曲はキャッチーですが、自身の恋愛や生活でうまくいかない苛立ちや葛藤などを糧にしたリアルな歌詞もSideChestの魅力です。

まとめ
注目したいのは結成してまだ2年というところ。
これだけの伸び代があるバンドもなかなかいないんじゃないかなと。
武器であるハイトーンヴォイスはライブでもしっかり出てる方ですし、楽曲もいい。
これからたくさんのバンドとライブを重ねていってどう化けるのかが非常に楽しみなバンドです。
